WHR ACQUIRES 1 NEW YORK STREET
Acting on behalf of its client, Invesco Real Estate, WHR has acquired 1 New York Street from Bruntwood having agreed a purchase price of £42 million.
Designed by Denton Corker Marshall, 1 New York Street was the first major new build development undertaken by Bruntwood when it was completed in 2009. The 109,000 sq ft office building, which is situated in Manchester city centre, is home to a number of clients including Acon, ADT Fire and Security, Turley Associates and George Davies Solicitors.
Mark Williams, Partner at WHR, comments: “We were delighted to have advised Invesco Real Estate on this major acquisition. This latest deal – together with the recent acquisition of The Towers Business Park, which was acquired by Moorfield for £47 million – is another high profile transaction that we have been involved in that has received significant backing from overseas investors. These deals demonstrate the strength and attractiveness of Manchester’s real estate market from a global viewpoint.”
